Happy birthday to the love of my life!
I am so lucky to have such an intelligent, kind and awesome father for a lifemate. Not to be corny, but every year with you only gets better. This year marks two landmarks for you, as you turn 30 today and prepare to graduate from the UW in a few short months. Your hard work continues to pay off, as reflected in your completed service in the Navy, a successful relationship (and we all know how difficult I can be!), an amazing son, our wonderful home and a soon to be had bachelors degree.
Happy birthday, Nathan. In 30 years you certainly have accomplished alot!

CNN.com is running a story on Donnie Darko's re-release, complete with an extra 20 minutes of unseen footage, set to debut at the Seattle Internation Film Festival on May 29th.

This is pretty exciting (well, for me!). I am hoping the extra footage will explain more about the Donnie's ability and the paradoxes that resulted at the end of the film. If you haven't seen Donnie Darko, check it out, especially if you're a fan of Sci-Fi and teenage agnst.

Today I woke up and I had reddish-purple hair. Later that very day, in less than an hour, my hair changed again!! The water ran pinky purple and quickly after more than 3 inches fell from my wet head. I am still recovering...
In other news, tonight I went shopping with the very lovely Andrea. We went to the mall which scares me at times for fear of shrinking bank account syndrome. That and hordes of people all walking fast, always in your way, some skinny, some fat, some hoodlums (spelling?!), some angels, all shopping shopping shopping...or god forbid actually hanging out at the mall (bahahaha! Oh wait I used to do that too). But tonight I conquered this disdain and we raced up and down in search of a certain item of clothing that no one seems to carry. Damn, and you know what that means? We had to settle in at the MAC counter. Ahhhhh, MAC make-up! Why must you be so expensive?! We both bought a new lipstick and I scored on some on-sale fishnets that I will probably never wear.
Busy day, but I had a great time and it was good to get out with Andrea as I have been feeling anti-social these last couple months. But perhaps we'll change that. I do plan on going out this weekend, that is a start, eh?
And one last note, I learned from my nephew this weekend that a quick small scream as a sign of happiness and appreciation is perfectly acceptable when done correctly. Geez, he is a cute one and growing faster than you can blink your eyes. It's almost super-natural. ;)

NINE DAYS OFF WORK! WOO HOO!!!
Got me a little vacation, came sooner that I would have wanted, but still, 9 days! Nathan and I are going to even go away. Found us a little cabin near Stevens Pass and I was able to get an excellent deal. This place is swank, well they have a hot tub anyway ;)

In other news, I think I am dying from sinus and lung inflammation. Really, it has been known to happen. Such is the pleasure I endure this fine fall. No worries, no, no, I will be fine. I have halls and a liter of water. Tis all good....in that "sick" kinda way.

He is getting huge and is awake more often these days. He trys to lift his head alot as well and does a good job of it. He is so adorable it hurts!!

I am so proud of myself. I took iniative and was able to get my desk, back-up cds and folders/paperwork a bit more organized at work this morning. I can now actually use my overhead cabinet and have 2 much more *organized* drawers that have space available. And I paid my rent and bills. Look at me go. ;P
